Well.....
One week out, and the Jag crew still seems to remain in deep hibernation....

That's 3 Jags on this drive so far, and we are equally matched with outsiders..... errr .....prey....

I would encourage any of you debating a dreary Saturday at home to fill your tank, buy a bottle of Bourbon.... ooopps... I mean 5 hour energy drink..... and join us on this trek!

Although I chose to open this drive to all takers regardless if they drive a car, truck or bicycle... forum members can rest assured that as the season progresses, I will focus more on bringing our amazing cats together for some awesome events!

To all of you, I ask only that you bring out your beauty, young or old, to play with their kin! We seem to always have a great time regardless of weather!
Lets drive!

Ever thought about a cars and coffee type of meet up, or maybe a short drive. Not really into driving 100+ miles

Yup,
Feel free to offer one up! The gatherings are not limited to what "Vince" tosses together, and help from other members is always appreciated!

My only real hope is to offer 3 major events each season. Two are close to being cast in stone, as the drive to St Helens in July was a winner, as is the Leavenworth run in late September/Early October. (both are on their second or third year...)
The first event hasn't solidified yet, but maybe a loop of Rainier in May or June when the roads get cleared... Sunrise is a nice drive as well once the roads are clear.

Everything else is just Vince "winging it". I drive at the drop of the hat, and just invite any and all to join along! That said, keep your eyes pealed here... I will try to have a drive a month.... Some long... some short...

Vince

Hi All,

I would sure like to come along but I have been getting out with lots of driving back and forth to Alberta all winter through the spectacular Canadian Rockies. (In the RR not the Cat BTW)
Commitments this weekend prevent me from attending the drive but my thoughts will be with you all on the road.
Have fun, good travels and keep the shiny side up.
Looking forward to seeing the pix.

Next time........

Allan

I will put a couple of ideas out there for possible drives.
A 2 day run opens up more possibilities if anyone is open to it.
We should try and set some tentative dates ahead of time.

Couple days left! Weather looks to be offering us a few patched of sunshine for the day!
No more Jags joining in?

My car about 4 hours ago! And a close-up of my new toy. All put back together and tucked in for the night. See you tomorrow, gents.

WooHoo!
It certainly was a great day and weather was perfect! Glad to see a few of our sweet cats out and prowling the byways!
This mixed crew was certainly much faster paced than I expected! If we continue to build our group of Jag drivers for more exclusive runs, I would look forward to a more casual (with the occasional sprint) pace.

Over all it was still a great time, and I highly recommend Markos "meetup" group for any of you that truly enjoy your cars capabilities on twisty roads! Good folk all of them, and a pleasure to drive with!

My face hurts from smiling all day!

Still chuckling about the post from the fellow hesitant to drive 100+ miles. Yesterday I covered 470 miles over 13.5 hours and had nothing but fun. I am glad I broke off and headed for home early, though. Strangely enough, my fuel mileage increased drastically when I set the cruise at 78 on the freeway and was no longer trying to keep up with Vince!

I have to say, though, the "Welcome to Oregon" sign totally surprised me. I really should pay more attention to the part where we talk about directions!
