Following up on this, many of the recommended shops in this thread are closed as of Dec 2020: Delong's, Continental Imports, Heritage Motor Service...

The three shops in the North Bay are still there, as is Jaguar-British European in Fremont... but is there nothing in the Peninsula or Oakland or SF? Where are you all taking your cars?

Default Peninsula Service Shops

No personal experience but believe Cerrone's European is still open in the Peninsula. I forget exact location. I know them as Land Rover guys. They did for a long time host a popular forum for LROs. I met Frank and his brother once at a Land Rover outing. No experience because I live in Mendocino County. Other LROs however spoke well of them and I know that Jaguar is among the makes they cover.

Default Los Gatos

Jaguar Purrformance Center in Los Gatos does great work, albeit at fairly premium prices. Their fixes stay fixed and they don't push unnecessary service though so, in my book that's a win. They work only on Jaguar and Land Rover, and there's all sorts of fancy stuff in there. I have had a ton of work done through them, and it has all stayed fixed and been done right.
