NorCal dealerships for service?
Hi, all...
I'm seriously considering buying a low-mile 2012/2013 XKR(-S); a couple of years of warranty is very important to me.
School me on the Jaguar dealership service experience in the bay area. Is it a hassle to get repairs done? Are loaner cars ever available? Any specific service depts to avoid? Are there long waits for parts to arrive? Are you treated differently if the car wasn't sold by that dealership?
Thanks (very much) in advance for providing your opinions/experiences...
Rich

Haven't spent a ton of money but, I got a loaner car while the were programming a key at Cole European in Walnut Creek. Parts I have ordered have come in the next day. However, when I priced having the hydraulic hoses replaced on the top latch they were way more expensive than any independent.
San Jose British Motors has a very nice parts dept, but a lousy service dept (check yelp for more info). They have loaners though. A top tip: avoid!
Jaguar Marin - used to have 5 or so loaners which are shared with LR folks. Service dept - is okay, but could be better. Their pricing policy is best in the BA though. I usually deal with Matt Quinn in the service dept.
British Motor Car Distributors SF - They had had insanely high prices for everything, but not a long time ago they got a new gm (Kip M.) and now their pricing policies are becoming much more reasonable. They do have a few loaners. At one time you could get one even with an oil change. Bud, the service adviser, is a nice chap.
Hope that helps.

Got a two-year service visit coming up... I'll bump this thread once to see if anyone can add any experiences and/or recommendations. Especially regarding Livermore and Cole.
Thanks,
Rich
