Looking at cars for my daughter who is attending college in Utah and finding tons with rebuilt titles


what's the deal with all these? Is it harder to finance? Don't want to make payments and pay for continuous repairs either

I have had many cars with salvage or rebuilt titles (had a tenant who rebuilt the cars), and have generally been very satisfied and with few problems. The key is knowing how reliable the rebuilder is and whether or not any shortcuts were taken. I have always paid cash for mine so I'm not familiar with financing restrictions, but I've had no problems with insurance (Mercury).

 

Thanks Ted. Knowing the quality of the rebuild is my biggest hurdle and being 2200 miles away from her doesn't help!
