you can't do anything thru the nav.. no drive away locking or global closing .. all that has to be done thru IDS.

(That link looks to be for the earlier system, not the later one which is also used in the X-Type.)
Code 1981 from your Ford link does work on the Jag system though (Edited: that might be 1971 after seeing the post below mine, I can't remember and don't have the car handy to check), and gives youa diagnostics screen for enabling and disabling options like the CD changer and phone. All changes to that will be lost when the car is restarted though. It is useful for running checks though if you have having any faults, and it will display the logged error codes.
To get to the PIN entry menu hold in Phone and Menu for five seconds.
