Default '02 x-type refusing to start, please help!!

Hi guys, got a mobile mechanic with proper reader covering Jags. Fault came up CPS so got a new one and fitted it. Still don't start. As before I'm still getting the messages " Rear Passenger door open" (nope, it's not) "Cruise not available" If I try to lock it the horn beeps twice, did it inside too and a clicking noise follows the horn. I read about the cut out relay from accidents and I think it was up so pushed it down. What can I do next? Waiting for mobile man to get back when he can to see if CPS error has cleared but still stumped. Any advice will be very much appreciated.
Dave

Hi, no it's manual. Petrol getting through so it's not fuel pump. Turns over fine, keeping battery charged in case.

Hi Four,
Immobiliser was one of my thoughts. The mobile guy popped round and at one stage the CPS error cleared but came back again. He's stumped. The strangest thing is it will start occasionally but when switched off will not re-start. I was wondering about transponder in fob, tempted to try the re-programming but surely I wouldn't get the messages if that were the case.
Cheers
