Trying to help out a friend. Jag dealer diagnosed as a bad ECM but would not guarentee that it would fix the car. The owner of the car doesnt really have the money to gamble on an ECM so i want to explore all other options. Car cranks, no start, has spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse, will start and stall on starting fluid. Already replaced gas fouled plugs. Verified gas in tank is good. After cranking a while it will set p1245 - crank signal low input, sensor and wiring to ecm checks good. My next step is to pull valve covers and verify cam timing but i was hoping maybe someone has run into this before.
