Default 04 X-Type 3.0 L PCV valve

When replacing spark plugs, of course had to remove upper intake manifold and so I replaced o-ring gaskets. I noticed some oil had accummulated around the gaskets and traced the source back to the PCV from the front cylinder bank. Replaced the PCV valve and after few months of driving the oil is still present where the PCV hose connects to the upper intake manifold. No noticeable oil consumption.

Is this normal (Somehow don't believe so)? Does anyone have a "fix" for this?

Thank you,
John/ 04 X-type 3.0L

Yes, the PCV valve will allow some oil into the intake. that is just a fact of what it does. As long as you are not seeing any considerable useage of oil (more than say 1/2 quart/liter), then I would not worry about that. If you have more, then you need to determine where the oil is coming from and correct the situation.
