What are these on board codes ??

I am wanting to purchase a code reader to help with diagnosing issues,, what's the best kind to get without breaking the bank ??

mcs, I am using an Actron 9425. It is a cheapy code reader (picked it up for like $70). That is all that you really need to do most jobs. The limitation of this unit is that it only reads the engine codes. It will not read chassis, body, or drivetrain/abs codes. If you are after something like that, then you are going to pay a lot more.
