Default 04 X Type 3.0 Only one of the fans on the radiator working

Hey everybody First time posting but yesterday on my way home from work I noticed when stopped at a red light the A/C would start blowing warm and the coolant temp would go up slightly(not much at all) but once I started moving the temp went down and the air was cold again. I just had the the system charged at the dealership about two weeks ago so I know its not low on refrigerant. Looked at it when I got home and found the fan on the driver side of the radiator was not coming on but the passenger side fan was running fine. Could this be the motor for the fan itself or a relay? Is there anything else that could cause this? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice ya'll have to offer.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If one is working then it could be the fan motor itself. They are operated via a Fan Module and not individual relays.
Disconnect the plug from the fan and test for power. If Ok then the motor must be at fault. Can you turn the fan by hand.

In that case I would say the motor is at fault.
You can check it by putting power to one pin on the motor and an earth to the other pin if the motor doesn't run then you have your fault.

AFAIK, that sounds like symptoms of some known valve issue. There is a TSB for it.

Both fans are controlled through a control module that's mounted on the fan shroud. I'd say that if one fan is working then the control module is working. Did you jump power to the fan in question?
