Just (hopefully!) winding-up a fairly major project on my 04 X-Type 3.0. Both rear axles, upper & lower control arms, shocks, speed sensors outside in a New England winter. Good times! This board has been a great supply of information and encouragement. Thanks to all!

When removing the RR wheel I snapped a wheel stud Hard to believe, I know with those well-designed lug nuts, but it happened... The stud snapped off in the middle of what was left of the lug nut leaving 2 days of drilling, chiseling, foul language, and gnashing of teeth. Was finally able to get the wheel off and finish the intended project.

Now the problem is locating a stud and new lug nut locally so I can put the wheel back on. Going to the nearby parts stores (even the 'good' ones) and telling them that I need a stud and lug for a Jaguar is like walking in with a t-shirt that says, "I Have The Ebola Virus." Something about the name....

I'm sure there are like-parts as I doubt Ford designed a special lug/stud combo especially for the X-Type. I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with this and what I can use that isn't "Jaguar". The stud would be the important thing as I plan to replace all the lugs after pot-hole season. Getting a full alignment and tire service before that happens would be like taking a shower before going into a sewer. You'll only have to do it all again...

Any ideas???
