Default 12V power in Trunk

I found the 12v power connector in the trunk, it is by the cd player, that most people use for a 12v accessory. It is a three prong plug. Anyone have a good way of wiring up this type of connector. Can I buy a female plug for it? I just need a positive and ground and I know which ones on the three prong plug give me that I just need a safe way of wiring it now.

You could tap into the wires you need with the correct items and add new wires.

Heat shrink may be safer as the trunk can get pretty hot :/

So you guys are saying not to use the end connector but tap into the wire itself, the one going to the connector?

Jaguar sell a 12v auxilliary socket kit for not much money. It comes with instructions for fitting in the boot or glovebox
There is a12v permanent supply in the boot which I used for the Jag12vkit in the boot.
Its on the LH side wall between the CD changer and the LH rear light behind the panel above the 1/4 panel vent.
I cant find the link for when I posted pics of the install but if you go to

http://www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com/extf...prod/index.jsp
Click On X Type and then
Accessory fitting instructions then on
Continue
Then do a search for
Power Socket
and click on the link that comes up entitled Auxilliary Power Socket (you will need to disable Norton when you click on it or it wont open)
If you look at picture 97 it shows you the location.
