Hi everyone any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated I have A 2002 jaguar X-type 3.0. My 11 yr old daughter has lost my only key about 5 months ago can any1 give me any advice on how to get another key that wont cost me an arm an a leg as Im poor an that's pretty much all I have left at this point to pay with... seriously tho how or where do I go about getting 1 I live in North Carolina plz helppp...

 

There are transmitter (transponder) keys (make sure of the correct country mhz) on the internet that are reasonable. The first CHALLENGE is getting the tibbe key cut code to your car. You can get this with VIN and proof of ownership from a Jaguar dealer. The next CHALLENGE is the programming of the transponder to the car. Dealer software is required to do this. There are a few locksmiths with this capability that charge less than a dealer.
