I gave my old X-Type to my daughter and very quickly she had a fight with her boyfriend and he threw the key into a patch of woods. Both of them have looked all over but cannot locate the key. It was the only key I had and she is about 4 hours from the nearest Jag dealer in Atlanta. Does anyone have and suggestions?

Perhaps have the two scour the area with a pair of metal detectors. Probably cheaper by a good margin than a new key.
