Default 2002 x-type shift cable special tool to dial in

Gentlemen,
My 2002 Jaguar x-type just had the tranny rebuilt. I know there is a special tool that must be used to set the travel and finite location for the shift lever on the tranny. Does anybody know what part number that special tool is assigned?
If you go to the Jag dealer, its like a bunch of sharks. I just need the tool so I can set the transmission to the point where I can start the engine so I can finish the job.
Any help is good.

The tech manual doesn't list any special tool for adjusting the shift cable. The procedure is listed and shows how to locate and adjust the shifter at the neutral point.
If you don't have the manual you should go to section at the beginning of the forum and download JTIS. I will try later today to download the tech section and post it for you from my computer with the manual.

Cut and paste from my PDF tech manual didn't work out. So here is a better alternative for you.
Got to JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource. scroll down the page to the listing (X-TYPE POWERTRAIN SPECIFICATIONS cont.) and download the PDF.
Once downloaded go to page 463 and that starts the section for the adjustment for the control cable.
While you are on the JagRepair site take a look at the other sections. Downloading them will give you a complete tech manual in PDF.

Might get more help if you list if you have MANUAL or AUTO gearbox.

There is a special tool (J-Gate setting tool) for the Auto Gearbox. I have a bagfull of them (20 to 30).

The TSB section (that NO ONE reads) has all the info.

The manual gearbox has a different setting procedure.

I found some in my toolbox in a drawer. I think I have more but I don't know where they might be. It has been a long time since I used them at the dealer.

1. why are there 2 colors?
2. does is still take 2 people to do the adjustment when using these?
3. p.m me if you'd be willing to sell me one.
