Default 2002 X-Type WITH A WINDOW PROBLEM

2002 X-Type with 98,000 miles auto trans. The passenger side window will not go all the way up. The window stops about ˝ inch from top position. I tried resetting the memory for bottom and top positions without any improvement. Later my wife tills me that our granddaughter was sticking her hand in the window when it was going up so she could watch it stop…my granddaughter did this several times. Could this have caused the problem with the window not going all the way up. Also I push the up button and then I grab the window and help it the window will close completely.

Is there a way to reset the window object sensing?

Any ideas on the cause of the problem and or a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Howard

I'd try a hard battery reset. Disconnect negative battery cable, touch (with metal jumper) to connected positive cable. Reconnect negative cable. Then try window and teset.
