bachour.

Could you have the codes read usually autozone will read them for free and post the codes here.
there is a lot that can go wrong to put on the light the codes will help us narrow them down.

Hello & welcome . Could be !! ABS unit ( Under bonnet /Hood ) Reluctor /Speed rings on any of the 4 wheels , ABS sensors ,brake ib ABS sensor cable etc , etc . As Paul said , get the codes read & diagnose the fault . I doubt its the ABDS unit & anything else should be a reasonably easy fix. Also Jag X type parts are not to expensive .

Mine was the ABS unit. It is not cheap to fix, but replacing it solved my intermittent ABS problem.

bachour, get the codes read. With the information that you provided, it could be way too many things. Hope that it is one of the following codes: C1145, C1155, C1165, or C1175. This would be one of the speed sensors and that is normally a pretty easy and cheap fix. I am placing money that it is more than likely either C1165 or C1175.

I would send your unit off for repair. Check ebay for repair service, I think I paid $125. I think there would be less rick then buying a used unit.

bachour, based on you getting all 4 codes, that would lead me to believe that you have a problem with your ABS unit or the plug for the unit is not seated properly and it is not making proper connections. Let me get home and look at the diagrams and lets see what we can find from there. It may be something as simple as the fuse to the ABS computer/module is blown. Hard to say what you may find.

Also, check the ground wire. It is located just behind the left headlight. There is two located in the same place. I would check both grounds.

bachour, check fuse F3 in the engine bay fuse box (60 amp fuse) and fuse F96 (7.5A fuse) in the passenger cabin fuse box. Odds are, fuse F96 is going to be the one that is blown.
