2003 Jag X-Type 2.5L Sedan with siezed engine.
Looking for advice, I got the car for $1200 with prior knowledge that I was going to have engine problems, hoping maybe I could get 10,000 miles from the engine before it went. No such luck. I'd like to replace the 2.5 with the 3.0 engine. A guy in his youtube video said that all the hose and bolts and everything between the two engines match up. Can anyone confirm this? Will the 3.0 engine match up to the 2.5 manual tranny? Any help would be apreciated. Also willing to sell the car, interior is in perfect shape, without any flaws I could find, exterior is also in near mint shape, with a small spot of peeling paint on the right side of the rear bumper.
Yes it will bolt up. The 2.5 and 3.0 are the same. Are you looking for an engine for your car. If so I have 2 of them. Both 3.0 Pm me if your looking for one and we can go from there. I will need to get a shipping price on it.

Thank you for your reply Dr Dome, the car has the manual 5 speed tranny, I won't need to replace that will I? Also, how much are you asking for the engines, are you in the US, and if so where in the US?
I am in Pa. I will be headed to Chicago end of may. I can throw it in the bed of my Truck and meet you or we can ship it. Shipping charge is unknown as of right now. One engine has 112k and the other 120k. I am very reasonable on them. Let me know what one you want.
