As chris x has said, I just wanted to make sure it was full lock and or hitting bumps when it was rubbing. If it's not lacerating your tires or damaging things it's not a big deal if it's just at full lock or hitting a bump while turning. BTW....

The rubbing problem was present when the wheel was at max turn.

What I did:
I've grabbed my hair dryer and I start to heat the interior liner. With the other hand I have started to "massage" the liner towards the interior keeping in mind that I do not need to affect the rest of the liner (the top for example has the tendency to go down (when you heat and push back).

When I was sure that it is enough, I have kept my hand in there still pushing untill the plastic cooled off to be sure it will remain like that.

As a note, I really don't know what others are thinking but from my point of view this is the max you can go with the wheels on this car. If you go wider than that you will have big issues.

You can go with bigger rims, you just need to compensate with a shorter profile tire. The goal is to keep the same overall diameter, or close to it, as stock. You are just swapping rubber for metal.

anyway, nice work Tracus. Rubbing at max turn is not a big deal. It's not good for the power steering pump to be held at max turn anyway. Looks like you got it fixed without much difficulty.

Oh, and it looks really great! Good choice!

Yes, it does look absolutely different. They are a litle bit wider and they look nice. The ride is just a litle bit affected in terms that is a litle bit more "bumpy" but still confortable. And the handling improved too.

I am really happy now, and I hope I can keep these wheels in this shape forever.

I thank you guys for your support. Wonderful forum!

I would gladly put some pictures with my car one day but this shrinking pictures problem takes a lot of time.

It's A LOT easier to use photobucket to paste pics on here. Not only easier but you can put bigger pics so we see better. If you need help let me know.

The rims look great, they look stock-except for a lot less money. I wish you had went with 18's though, they'd be gorgeous.

Tracus,
Do you know or did you try installing the factory jag center caps on those wheels. I am looking at getting a set of those exact wheels next month and am curious if my center caps will fit. Btw, your car looks good, I love that color on X's.

MARVSGT, I did not tried to install the caps to be honest. The guys at TunerWorks told me that it would not work so I didn't bother, I was in a rush anyway so I didn't have the time to look properly into it..
However, this is one thing I was thinking about as well and have few ideas like order 4 steering wheel cap and glue them over the original wheels caps or order some special stickers and put them on the caps and apply o layer of clearcoat...

I realize this is late but it might help the next person. As stated, don't be afraid of buying wheels that use centering rings, it doesn't change the offset or strength of anything. They only help to install the wheels so the lugs line up with the holes. The lugs still do all the work.

Now about the centering rings. I have a metallic set for my OZ summer wheels and a plastic set for my MSW winter wheels. Each manufacturer has a different ring size. I can tell you from experience that the plastic ones are easier to deal with. After just one summer I could barely remove the metal rings to install my other wheels. The Jags hub rusts just like any other car and made the rings TIGHT (guess I should have lubed them first). I had to use a screwdriver to pry them off and in doing so they started to chip. I started to wonder whether I could get a replacement if I ever broke one in the future.

The plastic (I'm guessing nylon) rings came right off with little trouble. Even the winter corrosion didn't grab them. My advice for anyone ordering new wheels that use rings is to request a few spares (even if you have to pay for them). In the event you brake or lose one, you'll be set. A few years down the road you may not find the correct ring as wheels are always changing. During the off-season I tape the rings inside each wheel so I don't lose them.

I hope I can still get mine from Tirerack. I should have called before but, you know... Suffice it to say this thread has reminded me.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that it's almost impossible to find wheels that look ugly on the Jag? All the wheels I've seen on Jags seem to look right. Other cars... plenty of fugly setups on the road and owners don't seem to notice. A Jag just makes everything look better.

I couldn't say more than you with this statement. I bought the car for the design and the look of it. I think their design it will last forever.
