2004 X-Type brake lights
Hello I'm new to this forum,my son has a 04 x type that had some rear end damage. I replaced the driver side tail light. And the brake lights worked for 1 day and now only the middle brake light is the only one that comes on. When I turn on the head light the tail lights do turn on,but brake lights still won't turn on. I don't have a manual and can't find which fuse is the brake light fuse somebody please help?

Whymee, if one of the brake lights come on, then all of them should come on. I would venture to guess that you have either some bulbs that are not fully seated or the backplane took a little bit of the accident and it has an internal failure. If you do some looking, you should be able to find a new backplane. I would first try pulling the backplane off and letting it sit in the trunk of the car as you apply the brakes and give the bulbs a little twist to see if you can make them light up. If they flicker for you, then this would confirm a messed up backplane. If they remain on, problem fixed.
