I have the panel off and the rod that opens the door - I cannot reattach it to the latch. Does the latch come off? It would be WAYYYY easier if it did. If not, how the freek can I possibly snap that clip into the hole. I can BARELY even feel the movement when I push the rod up there and lift the handle simultaneously. And even when I do, I still can't get it to snap in. WHy it came out is beyond me...this came all after the door handle stuck in the up position...I believe once I reattach it to the latch it will be fine/easy to reattach the white clip-it's right there...its the dang latch now...

Spent 2.5 hours on it today to no avail. Dumb.
