Does anyone know if there was a valet key available on the 2004 X-Type. My dealer didn't think so but was not sure and didn't check it out for me.

 

Looking thru the owners handbook for the 2004 there is no mention of a valet key. The 2002 doesn't have a valet button. If you don't have a manual button to activate the valet mode then it is not available.
Once you have full membership privileges you can go the the "HOW TO STICKIES" and download a copy of your model year handbook if don't have an owners handbook.
Keep in mind since you have a 2004 you will need to check the build date on the drivers door panel. The 2004 under went changes in the ssecond quarter of 2004 and models from January to March are electrically different than those after March 2004.
