Default 2005 Jaguar X-Type SportWagon Puddle Lamps

Does anyone have an idea what I could attach these lights to. There is already a cutout to attach the lamp itself remove the idiot reflector plastic piece from the door, pop the new plastic piece in place, but alas there is no wire to attache the lamp to. What if any wire would I use to get these to turn on when the door is open. The lamp is an led projector lamp that displays the word and symbol of a jaguar when the door is opened. Cool concept if we could figure out what to fuse the wires to. I know there were some models that have those puddle lamps that work because I saw some when I was looking for this car going on 5 yrs ago. I now have 97,945 miles on it. I love my car but I have had these lights now for longer than I have had the car,, my partner get them as a gift. and I have not been able to enjoy them all this time. Anyone out there know what I should do?
Thanks much
Mike Homenuk Jagwagon.

Hook to the footwell lights. Run through the "electrical" rubber boot into the door.

is there room to put a wire thru that? I thought it was just a huge plug that was screwed onto the wall. I'll look at it again. at least I should be able to hook it to the floor well lights...I just hope I don't have to drill a hole, hate the idea of rust coming thru. I love my Jag Wagon the color is radiance too. but I think I need a new paint job. I'm third owner and one of the previous ones did not take very good care. Let me know about the hole the door wires go thru. Thanks so much for the quick response;

From 2004.5 models forward, Jag eliminated the wiring (whether lights installed or not) of the puddle lights in the door. If pre 2004.5 models did not have the lights, it just required light purchase and a fuse because the wiring was in the door.

I know some years had the light that actually lit up. But I was unsure if pre 2005 or after 2005 I was so excited that there was a place to put these lights I got on line. But when I took off the dummy plastic reflector light There was no wiring in the door..now that's really really cheep. I bought a 200 Chrysler sebring, got an update dashboard with the programing for MPG compass etc I got the old one out of the car then thought before that.Oh ****? what do I do for the extra stuff, the wiring was already on the dash behind the old one? so if someone wanted to upgrade all the wiring was there.
With this Jaguar I wanted to update my pod for lights and sunroof to add the garage door opener...Bam...no wiring for it added...so SOL. this is a very cheep way of building the car.
Thank you again
