Default 30K Checkup/ACM/Warranty

I have to drive 4 hrs. to OKC for my 30,000 check up. Before I call tomorrowand set up the appointment, I wanted to know what questions to ask so thanks in advance.

1. Can I expect it done in one day?

2. What is the pricing on the ACM?

3. Whatshould a Select on my 04 cost?

I'm also having my ignition replaced (Stuck key!).

Thanks All!!

Hi...I'm in OKC

The Jag techs here are the best..ask for Brian if you can get him...he always works on mine and I know him real well...But yes, tocan they get it done in one day..I have never had to leave mine overnight for routine maintanence and fixes..You might want to give them a call a head of time to see if they need to order the key switch, that may take a few days to get here.

405-272-1717..Sonya is a new service adviser and she is nice to work with..but still learning her job.

Thanks Dennis!

Living far enough away, I feel certain I should have some type of warranty. I want to get my ipod in as well, but I'm hearing the ACM won't work with 80mg models. Not real sure what to do there. I know I DON'T want to pay $400 with install for it either.

Edit: They can't change out my ignition this trip. They would have to verify ownership and then order the part & keys. Takes two weeks. The good news is they are open on Saturdays.

They also said, I'll have to talk to the finance company about the extended Select Warranty.

One last thing about the extended warranty. I think FTJ recommended "Select" (the computer with that response is being repaired).

Does Jag sell different types of extendeds? Like "Option A" or "Option B"?

Does the work HAVE to be done at a Jag dealer or can it be done here if I live 4 hours away from a dealer?

If I replace the factory CD with one that is ipod & Bluetooth capable, does that violate the warranty-factory or extended?

I have seen literally hundreds of extended warrarenties from outside companies. Are there any that anyone would suggest from prior experience?

I know this is a lot but I'm headed to the dealer Friday.

Thanks!!

I got my EW through Jag_OKC..7 years/ 60,000 miles for $2,100.00...this leaves only a $100.00 deductible and that's it..everything else is covered 100% including towing, out of town motels, rental cars, etc.

I got it 1 mouth before the original expired...It's an actual Jaguar warranty...

That's wonderful news!

Would you know if I'm breaking the warranty if I replace the factory CD/radio?

No, it would only affect the factory radio being removed..you would have no Jag warranty on the new aftermarket device, but surely the radio maker warranties the product for a year or more...

Let me know if I can help you any way..I usually goup-town once or twice a month..I still gotta go try onthat new XF and to get an oil filter.

Wherebouts in this Great State you are?

I got my 30K check-up yesterday in OKC and everything was fine! Amarillo is four hours away from OKC, so I had a list of things I wanted to accomplish. Here's what happened:

1. My car is a great shape! I need to replace my two front tires though.

2. I can't buy a extended warranty from Jag because I didn't buy my car from A Jag dealer. Any suggestions for a third party?? I need to make a decision soo, because my factory warranty runs out at the end of the month.

3. I had the ACM installed and I'm happier with it than I thought I would be.

4. I have to go back in two weeks and have a new ignition installed with new keys. I expected this so, no problem.

5. I drove that car eight hours yesterday on I-40 and it was a champ!

6. The folks at the OKC Jag dealer were wonderful.
