5w5 bulb replacement

5w5 bulb replacement
So I've ordered the 5w5 bulb to replace the two in the high beam headlamp section, the odd part is I'm having a really hard time pulling the bulb out. I'm hoping to do this without taking the whole bumper part off, and was hoping it was on by a clip to easily be squeezed and pull out, but this isn't the case. Any advice?
Also, I was wondering if the 5w5 bulb was used elsewhere on the car because they came in a pack of 10. (side turn signal by front doors/side of bumper, etc.)
Thank you.

Fezz, the bulbs are only held in by friction. Now, this is the trick, you do not want to pull too hard as you will be stressing the mounts for the headlights and you risk breaking those (therefore forcing you to pull the bumper off to fix that issue). So, what you have to figure out is how to get both hands in there where 1 hand is pressing on the housing/backside of the reflector as the other hand is holding the bulb clip, giving it a few twists as pulling it towards the engine. It will come out. But, it can be a little tricky to get them to budge outwards. Warning though. Once it starts to come, it is going to pop on out of there, so, be ready to ease up else you are going to smack your knuckles on something.
As for those bulbs, I think they are also used on the side marker lights, the rear license plate and possibly a few other places. IF they are the bulbs that I am thinking of, here in the US we call them 194 bulbs.

Attached photos of the insides of both High and Low Beam housings, might assist with your bulb replacement.
My granddaughter is assisting with the turn-signal (repeater) bulb.
Above: The (Dipped) low beam bulbs are held on by metal wire clips, remove the electrical connector then push down(forward) on the clips to unlatch, then tilt the clip towards the engine to remove the bulb.
Above: the clips can be seen clearly on the (Main) High beam after the connector was removed.
Note: The above headlamp assy was damaged and replaced by a new assy. That is why it is not mounted on the vehicle.
I have more photos in my "Garage"

I agree with Thermo, I changed those bulbs out when I did an LED conversion and they're not too bad, you just need to be careful. No need to take the bumper cover off
Also, that size bulb is used in:
2x Parking lights (small bulbs in high beam bucket)
4x Front/rear sidemarkers
2x Side turn signals
2x License plate lights
2x Foot-well lights
1x Glove box light
2x Map lights (2 lights next to the front dome light)
That means a total of 15 of these bulbs are used throughout the car so I'm sure you'll find a use for the others at some point.
Another thing to consider is that a few of us who have changed the sidemarker and side turn signal lights found that the plastic housing actually started to melt due to the heat of a standard bulb. So myself and others on the forum have changed these bulbs to LEDs which are much cooler when illuminated and last a lot longer than standard bulbs

Using these throughout the car, inside and out:
These are in the parking lights because they are physically longer and look better when illuminated in there:
By the way, the parking lights I used match up perfectly with the 5000k HIDs I have.
