ACM woes.. anybody ever figure it out?

ACM woes.. anybody ever figure it out?
My acm is not working .. indicates that it is playing but no sound. That is using ipod. I never used a usb or rca input.
2002 sport 3.0,,, Navigation, 5 speed.
BMW going away soon so I am back driving the Jag. I am sure I'll be posting more in the near future

mine does this from time to time. if i shut the car off and turn it back on it seems to work. also make sure that little switch is fliped the right way.
