Air bag light code 18.

A sequence of 1 + 8 flashes = Blink Code 18.
If, and I stress if, the Blink Codes are consistent across Jaguar models, then Code 18 refers to a PAD (Passenger Airbag Deactivation) Warning Indicator malfunction.
This is taken from the XK SRS (Supplementary Restraint System) Flash Code Diagnosis TSB (Technical Service Bulletin).
I know the codes are consistent across XK and XJ models so it's very likely they are common to all models.
To read and clear Body DTC's, needs the Dealer WDS or a scantool like AutoEnginuity with the Jaguar expansion pack but, unlike the MIL Warning Light, the Airbag Waning Light will clear by itself once the fault causing it to illuminate is rectified.
