2004 Jaguar X-Type 3.0L AWD:
The air intake pipes are almost cracked all the way through. See photo. What problems does it cause and can I use tape until I can get them replaced? Can I just get the tubes or do I have to get the whole part? Thanks, in advance!

 

The torn pieces are before the filter and won't effect driving the vehicle. To replace them new you have to buy the whole air cleaner. Around $518.00. Reach out to Dr Dome a forum member who parts out X-Types. 484-903-4813. He can sell you a good used one. The bad news is to get to it you have to drop the Radiator. It will not slide out from between the metal upper brace and the radiator.
