We have a 2003 x-type, the airbag light blinks 3 times, repeats a few times then remains solid. I took it to the local "Jag shop" and they found a piece of plastic (something my wife had in the car like a scraper) under the seat and told me that it had severed a wire and needed to be replaced, $200+, I told them I'll have to bring it back when I have the time to wait for it...I took the car home and removed the seat in question and found no severed wires, none damaged - nothing.

Any idea what this could be? I took the seat COMPLETELY out of the car disconnecting the wiring harness and everything, flipped it upside down and examined every inch of it...Did the same with the other seat just in case they told me the wrong seat...zero damage/frayed/severed wires...nothing...

At a loss...?
