racer I have Sirius connected via fm modulator - the sound is not that good, but ok. When I put mp3's on the radion and play them via the fm modualtor - they sound great! But I found that Sirius offers for an additional $2.99 a month you can get cd quality sound. So I called in thinking it would make a difference. Well this upgrade would not help the Satellite stream, only thru the internet. You would then achieve 128 bit sound which is like cd quality or a very low quality mp3. Still a bettersound! But not in out cars, the original stream is in low quality, therefore you may not be able to get a better quality out of it.

The signal is broadcast in a low quality to begin with - so no matter how you connect it - it will only sound as good as it can sound...

Ah, ok..got it. My experience with the FM modulator was horrible, then i switched to the antenna adapter which was no better...I finally swapped out the head unit in the jag to make it all work and the sound was amazing.....so this is one of the reason i would like to do the same thing to the G8...

I think you have a point with that. We have XM in the wife's Tahoe w/bose system - it does sound awesome in there.

Hey racer did you ever get it installed?

That video was nice too...if you notice too the 1/4 mile time would have been better with some better tires and warmer weather. Did you notice the exhaust? That thing could have done even better...

BTW love the g8 too!
