Jaguar 2003 xtype, shows 15 volts from alternator, is it an alternator problem?
Thanks.

If connected solidly to battery and only does it when cold, may be OK (workshop manual probably says).

BTW this is the wrong forum

Our alternators ABSOLUTELY start at 15 volts then cycle down (pretty quickly).

The top end should be 15.3 and the low 13.6 at the battery.
