I've checked several places, including dealers and difficult to find, I need and alternator for 2003 x-type 6cyl 2.5, manual tran. Does anyone have suggestions where to get one, anywhere in the country is fine. Help!!! Thanks...

Go to this link, Jaguar For Sale Auctions | Jaguar AuctionWatch , click on "X-Type" under the "Navigation" banner, click on "Spares", and type in Alternator in the "Filter" field.

As I type this, there are 161 alternators listed via that search, with pricing from $24.90 USD through to $75.00 USD.

Amazon.com lists a number of them, ranging in price from $26.50 USD all the way to $392.79 USD.

These here interwebs are pretty easy to find things on, if you learn which of the tubes to look in.

BUrton, give Brandywine AUto Wreckers in Brandywine a call. They are right around the corner from you and they have a European yard that should have the alternator that you are after. NOt sure what they will want for it, but then you can get it the same day. Otherwise, I would do as Bruce recommended and see what you can get that way.
