Default amber light etc

jaguar x type 2002 awd automatic petrol still attempting to resolve engine warning light and amber warning light issue...amber light coming on after 15 mins driving sometimes stays on .......today good open road hard on accelleration felt hesitation /choking but said to hell with it pressed down the accelerator and pushed through to a great smooth fast ride ...amber light went out! ….still getting the cruise control not available message but its working fine! …..anyone similar issue / anyone solutions!
reset now 4 times by service guy who up to this on going issue seemed very capable //codes P017 P0174 air lean /
sensors fuel/intake cleaning etc etc

Codes reset? Why? What were they???

Chase them down - lots of threads with what to do.

You may be destroying the cats so don't ignore the codes.

You sure it wasn't P0171 and P0174? Those would probably be for an intermittent vaccum leak. I can't seem to find a P0170 Jaguar code.

Why do you keep resetting the codes? They are being triggered for a reason. They will not go away on their own and will only get worse. Those two codes are probably the most common issues you see on here. Do a quick search on how to resolve. Could be something pretty simple, quick and inexpensive to address. Don't keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Use the search button on main page, look for codes and change search forum to "X" only. Way too many posts on fixes to repost here.
