Default Annoying Dashboard Plastic

Hey,

I know this isn't a serious issue, however, I have this piece of plastic that keeps popping up on the passenger side of the dashboard. The connection between the plastic strip and the dashboard is a little circular piece with a clip on the bottom of it. I've pushed it down numerous times, however it keeps popping right back out. Anyone else dealt with this?

Do you mean the defroster vent?

If it is the defroster vent then I have the same problem. My original vents were replaced by the dealer since they kept popping up with changes in temperature. The new style has a thumb screw on the far end. The driver side has remained in place but the passenger side keeps popping up. It seems the thumb screw is just a little short and can't be turned to make the latch. Pain in the butt.

Common fault I believe..........mine do the same, although only slightly, almost barely noticeable.
I heard of one guy who simply applied a little superglue would you believe?......It stayed fixed down though!

i had both of mine changed at the dealer couple of days ago...will see if they stay put, or pop up again. If they do, i might use super glue as well...

Wow, I guess this isn't uncommon. I'm going to go with the superglue idea. Screw it.

I had the same problem too. I simply applied a small dab of Gorilla Glue on each end and stuffed some rags between it at the windshield to apply pressure while drying. Works perfect and no more popping up.
