I have scoured threads blogs post and what have you hut here is my issue. Just purchased 04 xtype 3.0 with 60,000 dash says gearbox fault obd reads p1603 eeprom and p1000 car shifts in all gears and drives fine a little whine coming from under maybe tyranny not sure .and if I clear codes the p1603 goes away but returns when I turn the car back on I have tried reseting car (disconnecting battery with key off then letting sit for half hour ) I checked tcm and ecu for signs of water . I'm at a loss

I have read both and neither seem to apply .I can shift without issue u have reset via obd and hard reset my cruise still works .idk I'm going to pull my battery tonight and put on c h arge to see if that does anything
