Default Anyone using this oil?

I saw this at Walmart the other day and was curious to see if anyone had used it.

What I do is look in the owner's manual for the spec. I don't have your car but I suspect that oil will not match your spec.

He didn't ask for the spec ... only whether anyone had used it.

Yes, it's been in my crankcase for a few months and the
engine hasn't blown up. Nor has it used any oil or make
any unusual noises. I have full confidence in that particular
oil.

It's a light violet colour when new.

It's a great oil to use, but be sure you use the recommended weight.

Sure millions of people have used it. Advertising can be very persuasive. What's wrong with the oil you've already got?

The owners manual lists a 0w-40 as a weight than can be used. I've used 5w-30 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in the past but can no longer find it in town.

Two difference things in the oil are: Viscosity and synthetic or regular, otherwise there is no difference from brands. But if your car is old (@100K miles) you should use a little heavier viscosity for better seal the gaps on the worn parts as cylinders and piston walls.
