Has anyone done auto wipe and auto headlights retrofit? I bought auto wipe module and sensor, wiring was all in place. Connected everything up and it works but not right. I didn't get the wiper stalk but when I turn it to fastest intermittent wipe it starts to wipe faster if I cover up the sensor but never goes slower than intermittent setting. Is there something else I should do to get it work right?

Also fitted auto headlights switch but when I turn it to AUTO (in dark garage) lights don't come on. I had auto dimming rear view mirror already so I thought it should be plug-n-play. Am I missing something?

The auto dimming rear view mirror isn't the same as the light sensor mirror. The auto dimming mirror has a sensor facing the driver, and the auto head light mirror has 2 sensors. One in the front of the mirror, to tell how dark it is, and one facing the driver to register the lights behind you, when the head lights are on. I don't know about your automatic wipers, because on an XK8 the windshield is also part of the system, and I am glad my insurance paid for it, when a stone cracked it. It was VERY EXPENSIVE.....best of luck.....Mike

 

I have 2 sensors on my rear view mirror, one facing front and one rear. My windshield also has a place to put the rain sensor in, there was a blanking plug in it.
