Hi. will a bad waterpump leak coolant?

How do you know the water pump is bad?

 

afonda, yes, when a water pump goes bad, it tends to take the front seal with it, so, it will start to leak out around the shaft. in some cases, if the impeller gets too corroded/eaten up, you will start getting overheating problems when driving down the highway but the car will be fine in town.
