Jagm1979, you can buy the battery from any store that you want. keep in mind that all batteries here in the US come off of 1 of 2 assembly lines (either Exide or Johnson Controls). yes, I know there are 50 million different battery manufacturers out there. They all buy their batteries from one of the two stated and then put their own stickers on the battery.
As long as you get a Type 94R battery, it will work with your car. With that being said, I would recommend getting a battery with atleast 700 CCA. A smaller battery will work, but you will find that it will have a very short life due to stressing it a lot as you start the car.
THe negative battery cable is easy to change out. You do not need to get an OEM cable. Your local auto parts place should have one hanging on the wall that will work for your car.
