Best lowering suspension
I have a 2002 XType 3.0L I do want to lower it but not too much so whats the best shock and springs for my car i do have 18x8 rims with 225/40/18 tires so any suggestions on what brand and other suspension parts i might what to add to have a smooth ride
I say +1 on the H&Rs, i've got them on my car and the only thing I regret is not putting them on sooner. They give the car a good stance without being too low and are still confortable for everyday use. Plus they really make the handling on this car come alive!
As for shocks I love Bilstein shocks, and these cars love them too haha. I have heard great reviews from other X type owners on the HD Bilstein's. Personally I went for the Comfort Bilsteins, and they provide the perfect balance of sporty driving and comfy driving as well (even with low profile 18" tires).

Plus the HD Bilsteins can negate some (or all) of the lowering until they worn in, because of the extreme upward pressure. I would also do Comforts like aCapiz or get some new OEM X-Type Sport shocks and struts.
