I have exactly the same problem with the monitor on my Xtype 2001 (
Check the wiring harness - all ok
checked the monitor ( diagnosis ) - all ok
checked the drive in the navigation block - all ok
checked all the fuses - all ok

downloaded Loading KWI
recorded on the DVD R + at the very minimum speed drive
complied with all the items a disc is in the drive

nothing works still (((

i'm from Romania and i have the same problem ext 50/51.(disconecting appears C1)
my car is a x-type 2003 2.0 D.
i loaded at least 20 verbatim and sony dvd-s dl with the loader.kwi burned at 2x and nothing happen, same disk are spining alot and same less???? when is reading the disk the error is disapear please help me with another loading.kwi or other software (daniel.popescu@deltatel.ro)
in my country is not a jaguar representance
this forum is my last resurce

You've already checked the fuse box that is located in the cabin ?

 

how long do you wait after loading the disk?
can take up to 15 mins for the File to load.

 

I waited several times 1 hour and I checked all fuses and they are OK.

I did everything as you wrote - but nothing happened to my screen is still not working
so
I downloaded the file KWI
I recorded it on a DVD R + at 3 , then on another drive with a speed of 4
recorded as a data disc
finalize entry
put the key in the ignition , turned
Insert the CD in the drive
pulled the key wait 30 seconds or a minute
put the key in the ignition again , turned
waited up to 1 hour
but nothing happens still (
what am I doing wrong?

Looks like you are doing everything needed,
How did the issue start? do you have a blank screen and displaying 50-51 on you climate control .

what software are you using to burn the DVD?
have you tried copying the loading KWI from your original nav disc and burning that to a dvd?
What year is the Navigation disc you are using ?

If the Loading KWI file is not working there is a good chance that the DVD drive has gone bad but lets try a few different files first.

Disc Denso navigation for Jaguar , LR , Ford 2009 I downloaded in Russian forum and recorded on DVD R + at low speed alsо

make sure to unzip the file open the file that you have unzipped and just burn the loading.kwi file

hoping one of these works for you.

Hi guys I bought a donor car for my jag as I need some parts for my X-type as it worked out cheaper rather than buying all the bits from a local brakers,
anyway it has a denso sat nav(original) and its not working(blank)
I can see it flash like when you turn on tv with no input it stays black but you can see it turn on. I have tried to burn the KWI file but it did not work, the dvd unit ejects the dvd no problem.
Is there is anything more I can do to make it work??

 

well i have had a few friends with x-types and had the same problem, how i fixed it was have them order a used dvd rom reader i installed it problem solved,

for one friend i adjusted the reader screw in side of the reader the worked also

 

I will try again tomorrow.
Has anybody got the kwi or other files that worked for them??
If they could pm me the file.

 

Just have tried the Audio,Nav and temp up and it showed the diagnostic menu so there is a sign of life.

 

hey guys,after buying three differant readers i found that none of them would reboot.(must of had the same problem).understand the problem is not the burner,its your computers ability to read or communicate with it,so stop pulling yours apart.you will only find there is not much you can do and anything you can do will have you diging in your pockets.just download the file to a regular cd,(not a dvd) USE A PROGRAM OTHER THEN YOUR DEFAULT WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER TO BURN THE DISK.i did and now i have 3 nav readers working.remember its not the reader its your computers ability to communicate with it!hope this helped.

Well it's been a few weeks, and I'm still at the same stage in the solution of this problem with his car .
But I do not waste time ) I changed the broken old generator and voltage regulator relay on your car (you can not even imagine what it cost me to find a home on Jaguar Parts in snowy Siberia ))).
At the moment, with the electrician in my car all right . But the problem with the idle display and control unit climate control still remains .
I downloaded the file KWI 132 mb, which kindly provided me Paulc732 But it did not help me in this matter .
