Default Bojangles what's up with your PM

I tried to PM you and it says you won't accept my PM. What is that about?

J, I'd guess that means he's no longer a member here.

And I'll take this moment to refrain from writing something really inappropriate... and I'll let my feet do a little jig under my desk instead.

really, there's bound to be some heartburn anytime this happens. People start to whine about 'censorship' and (in the USA) the 1st amendment... and all that crap.

This is not a government site. You / we don't have the "right" to do anything. We get to make the rules... and what we've decided here is that we should all try to get along a little. There's no reason we can't continue to disagree on things. We just do it respectfully, and realize that it IS OKAY TO AGREE TO DISAGREE. Bo felt that was NOT okay, and that the only possible resolution to a disagreement was for others to admit that he was correct.... and that we really ARE as stupid as he keeps saying we are. He wouldn't let it go otherwise.

let me also say that ANYTIME you get to a point where you are SO DANG FULL OF YOURSELF that you don't mind taking the moderators on, despite multiple warnings, then I say it's time you left.

And yes, I am permanently banned from another forum elsewhere because that's what it took for me to learn that lesson. Even though I was right... dangit!

I thought he was very knowledgeable. Wherehe took this forum by taking apart his transfer case was very daring and informational. Yes he was in the automotive field so it probably didn't take too much effort. But he took us to the next level.Hehas taken stabs at me too but I think we all have to try to diffuse someone that attacks rather than adding some more fuel to the fire. Which means, this dude just humiliated me on the internet, now what - tell him off? No, I'd rather be the bigger person and ignore the thread and move on - just like putting my tail between my legs and let the screamer scream, if thats what they like to do. Will you guys really think less of me? I doubt it! Some people only have their internet life for friendship. Most us have both but some this is all they have. I feel if they wine ask them if they want some cheese with that?

Jvegas, Bo is no longer a member of this site, which is why your pm's will not go through. You may have his emai laddress if you wish to contact him personally.

There are rules attached to being a member of this site and everyone should be aware of them when they sign up. They are in place for the good of ALL.

For anyone that isn't aware -please read https://www.jaguarforums.com/rules.asp

The last thing I want to do is ban anyone, I assure you. I would like to make the forum a better, more informative and happy place to be for everyone to visit, and hopefully increase the membership even further.
I try to be as relaxed about the rulesas possible so we can all enjoy the site. Spammers and members who are way over the top have been banned immediately.
Others, have had warnings spanning a year or more, and have continually caused disharmony before being removed. No one person, no matter how knowledgable, is bigger than the site itself.

I'm constantly looking to update and improve the site and hope to add new Jagtechs as well as adding to the FAQ's which benefit everyone.
I'd appreciate any help in suggestions for adding to the FAQ's and would consider any other sensible suggestions. This is OUR forum, so lets ALL try to help make it a better place to be.

Jim

And I can appreciate that too! Even though my post made it sound like we should just step aside and let them scream, we shouldn't have to take that!

Christo;
I hear what yer sayin' dood. I really do. I think it's fair to note though, how many people he kept away from this site, or drove away.
I think it's also fair to point-out that while he may have HAD some extensive knowledge, it was sometimes very painful to get him to help with very minor things.... like resetting the damn sunroof, for hell's sake... which is when I joined the scene.
And while he may be the only one who has posted pics of the inside of his t-case... what did that get you? Many of us have had the T-case apart, and are quite familiar with it. I guess that it rarely occurs to me to have the camera ready when I'm at the workbench or under the car. Shame on me! I'll have to start doing that!

I think you'll be surprised at the knowledge that exists here, yes, even without Bo. But the reason you'll be surprised is that we will not remind you at the bottom of every ranting post how much we know, how much smarter we are than you, and how much your forum would suck without us. [>:]

he did have a lot of good info.... I know McJaguar will disagree, but the TC case stuff was great... Can we vote on it or something? or did he do something so bad we can't forgive? I am not trying to second guess the mods, just hate to see a good member go. i have been here a while and I still miss FJT. I mean frombenzto jag did a lot more before he got booted.
