Had problems with low boost pressure ever since I picked up the X-type ...so decided to take of the front end and take a look today..

looks like I just caught this clip in time .


The EGR valve was removed cleaned and partially blanked and a silicone pipe fitted as the top pipe was split.


Whilst doing this i took of the inlet manifold and yup full of crud..although not as bad as I've seen of the 1.6 PSA/ TDCI engines ...this is the crap that an EGR feeds back into your engine !!!!

Had a Mate turn up who needed a new gaming PC building so had to leave her like this for today .... Hoping to get time to Put her back together tomorrow


Obviously the inter cooler is already off here.
All in all not as bad as I had expected only 1 split pipe and other than the normal rust on the radiator support bar in reasonable condition for its age.
