Default Bought a new to me instrument cluster

But its saying security fault an now te car will not turn on is there anything special I have to do???

It's a part of the security / immo system so you can't just plug it in. Anti-theft has kicked in by the sounds of it.

You have to have a dealership program it before it will work. This is why I still have a green sport gauge cluster in a box packed away.

It is possible that used cluster cannot be programmed.

No, they can be, I've talked to the local dealership about doing it for me. They want an hours pay to do it, which there was like 120 something.

Its all good fellas I save the 120 ontop of te 60 I paid for the cluster and swapped the parts from the old to the new with my trusty dusty soddering iron... Took 2 hrs but done everything works like new and I didt have to spend any more money in the racket of labor lol. Thanks for the advise though I know.

And a bonus I was able to return the old one back to the yard I got it from and surprisingly I guess I did to good of a job cause that one works perfectly as well smh..
