Default Bought an x type!!!!!

So i finally decided I needed to own the Jaguar after test driving it. I flew out 1300 miles to find it and found it in less than perfect cosmetic condition, but near perfect mechanical condition. Anyways, I have some problems with it. The passenger front speaker is blown and I need to know what do do about that. Also the driver's door locks me into the car while the passenger door does not unlock with all of the other doors when I unlock the car. The other problem is that the driver HID headlight is missing the little twisty connector do-hickey which I have been researching for the past hour and cant find for the life of me. If anyone can help me with any of these issues I would very much appreciate it. Don't really need help on the speaker because I have seen other threads around, but the doors and that thingy for the headlights really have me stumped

I know you all want to see it, so here it is.... 02, 3.0, 104k, Sport, 18's, 5spd

Regent: I realized this as well, but with living in colorado i think it will much better in deep snow because of that. And it will look better than 99% of the other cars with that ground clearance. I just have to find some sort of snow tire for that rim.... Thats where my planning gets difficult. lol.

It's an 2002 so obviously it will be "less than perfect cosmetic condition". That's expected. But still, just looking at the pictures, the car looks brand new.

It does look near perfect in these pictures, but its because I completley hid the front right bumper where it is missing the headlight washer cover. The best part is the price that I paid for it.... less than 6k. Also, is flushing the tcase a big enough deal that I shouldn't drive the car until I have time to flush it?

Default tcase flush

Dont overfill the tcase. i did that and it came out the vent right above the right hand driveshaft and got all over the exhaust and i have yet to get rid of that smell of burnt oil inside the car it also made me think the driveshaft seal was leaking.

Thanks for letting me know. I already have an oil smell coming when I am stopped and the a/c is on which is because some dumbck replaced the oil filter and dripped oil ALL over the exhaust. But how to do make sure that you don't overfill it? I thought you just fill it until you can't fill it no more? or do you actually have to measure out 800ml?

yes you should measure it. my x is an 04 and jtis calls for 600 ml originally and 550 on drain and reservice. i measured out 700ml thinking i would lose some when i pulled the hose that i was using to service it and stuck the plug back in. well i did lose some but it was still to much. i read somewhere in here that if its just slighly overfilled it will come out the vent.

Welcome and nice car. 225/40/18 snow tires are quite easy to come by. I have Goodyear Ultragrips and the snow performance is amazing.

Thanks sbrantley for the advice. And that is some amazing tire spotting exexpat. I will have to keep that on reference for when I end up having to buy some snows. Thanks, and does anyone have any ideas with the headlight? Im debating whether or not just to glue the HID to the back of the light. It wouldn't be pretty, and I would make sure I could get it off if I needed to change my bulbs, but I don't want to shell out a couple hundred for a simple mount.
