Default Brighter X Type Headlights

In Australia, have a 2007 X-Type however live in the country areas and would like to know if anyone has managed to put brighter headlights in that do not burn out any other parts.

Regards Philip

HID's
halogen are about 1,200 lumens. HID (depending on color choice) around 3,400 to 4,500 lumens.

Example =

Do a search for member Thermo posts where he has exhaustively explained this (type, installation, why use 35Watt vs higher = problems, etc.).

jrzyk8, if you need to know anything, let me know. Like what Dell said, I Have explained this numerous times and there is a lot of info out there. I can even help you wire up things to make sure you don't destroy anything.
