The alarm housing and key housing come apart so they are 2 separate pieces. Looking at my key now it looks like the broken piece would be able to be pryed away so a new one could be put in.

Ouch! That sucks!

To separate the key part from the alarm part, you need a small screwdriver. Turn the fob over so the buttons are facing your palm. You'll see a little notch on the back side. Insert the small screwdriver and PUSH the upper part (key part) out. DO NOT TRY TO PRY THAT PART UP AS IF YOU'RE OPENING A LID!

Now, the key blade swap, I can't help you there. I would think the round button to release the key must go in further to remove the blade or something since it's spring loaded. Sorry!

Good luck!

P.S. You do know that you'll have the get the key cut and programmed, right?
