Default Can any one help? No Start.

Hi I have a xtype 3.0 petrol 52"REG". It failed to start, the RAC said engine turning over, problem is with the starter motor (batt brand new). Changed starter motor, but still will not start. power to starter ok, power coming from ignition ok, tested new starter and old one, both ok. What could be the fault??????

I'm not absolutely sure from your description whether the engine is turning over normally ...?

If it is, then the other two ingredients essential for starting are fuel and spark. Here is the troubleshooting procedure from the Workshop Manual:

JTIS - X Type Starting System.pdf

As a newbie, you won't be able to download this PDF from the forum. You can download it directly from my MediaFire account through this link:

If the starter is not turning normally and the starter itself is known to be good, then the harness from the battery to the main junction box is a known issue (circled in red):

Check for loose connections or frayed leads.
