You can switch it over to the standard automatic climate control system. You will need the climate control panel and the standard indash radio either cd or cassette. You will also need to get a bypass jumper for the D2B link at the nav module. You may have to have the radio programmed for your particular D2B setup ie. cd changer, phone etc. I would assume if you get a standard radio the setup should be correct but who knows.

Just a quick question:

- How much will it cost to fix the touchscreen?

I'm in the states so I'm not sure which side the parts will be located but a X-type with nav actually has a remote mounted climate control module that will have the exact same connectors the one piece climate control has. Here it is mounted on the passenger side just outside the center stack area. When you take out the nav unit you should be able to see both the module and related harness. The actual harness for the screen will just no longer be used. The radio you have now has all the connectors for the full size radio.

When upgrading to touch screen from climate you need a remote climate control module (RCCM) which is a different module to the non nav climate control unit (CCM) , so you would need a CCM to downgrade. I think it would also need to be programmed to your car at a dealer but not certain??
Not sure how much the CCM is but the RCCMis £428+VAT (15%) from UK dealers.
