Is it possible to clear the OBD codes in the 2003 2.5 X Type? I have a code reader but can't clear the OBD codes though the reader has the ability to do so. I have disconnected the battery but still no luck. Apparently these codes are stored in flash memory and cannot be cleared once set or is there another way?

 

It is always possible to do anything. But, have you cleared the faults that the codes refer to?

 

What codes are you seeing? Posting them here might help diagnose your issue better.

 

Some codes show a fault that inevitably will be re-flagged as soon as cleared.

Best option is ... wait for it ... fix the fault!
